About our concrete contractor crew in Vacaville
Who runs your job, how we build a slab and what happens after you call.
How I learned concrete from the shovel up
I spent every summer through school on concrete crews, and I started where most people never look, with the shovel. Digging out, packing the ground and building forms taught me early that a slab is only as good as what's under it. By the time I started this business in Vacaville in 2013, I'd dug, formed and finished more slabs than I could count.
These days we're best known for flatwork, the flat concrete around a house like driveways, patios and walks, plus footings and foundation work. Most of our calls come from homeowners, along with property owners and builders who need concrete they can count on. If your budget gets tight, I'll cut a fancy finish before I'll cut the base, because a finish can be redone and the ground under the slab can't once it's buried. You can see everything we pour on our home page.

What you get when we pour your concrete
These are the things you'll notice from the first visit to the final walk-through, and the reasons we work this way on every driveway, patio and footing.
You deal with me the whole way
I come out to look at the job myself, and I'm there running the crew when we dig, form, pour and finish. The person who quoted your job is the one answering for it at the end.
The ground and joints come first
We dig out and pack the subgrade, the soil the slab sits on, and check where the water runs so the slab falls away from your house. Then we lay out control joints, grooves cut into the concrete so it cracks along a line we picked instead of wherever it wants.
Straight talk about cracks and curing
Concrete cracks, and I'll tell you that before we pour, along with how we keep those cracks where they belong. You'll also hear about curing, the wait while the concrete gains strength, so you know when you can walk on it and when you can park on it.
Permits and inspections handled
We find out what the city or the county wants for the work at your address, and inside Vacaville city limits that's the city's Building Division. When a permit is needed we pull it, keep the papers on site and meet the inspector, and since the state licensing board requires a licensed contractor when a job needs a permit or runs $1,000 or more in labor and materials, it matters that we're fully licensed and insured.
What happens after you call us
Here's how a job goes from your first call to the final walk-through, so you know who you'll talk to and what you'll have in hand before any concrete shows up.
- Step 01
Call or send the form
Call (707) 898-1384 or use our contact page to tell us what you need poured and where. We reply within one business day of your call or request.
- Step 02
Walk the site with me
I come out and walk the job with you, looking at the ground, where the water runs and how a truck gets in. Size, digging, base work, access and the finish you pick are what usually move the price.
- Step 03
Get a written estimate
You get a written estimate that spells out what's included, so you know exactly what you're paying for before we start. It's free, and there's no obligation and no pressure to book.
- Step 04
My crew does the work
Once any permit is in hand, my crew digs out, packs the base, forms, pours and finishes, with me running the work. Weather and inspections usually set the pour day.
- Step 05
Walk the finished job
We clean up and walk the finished concrete with you. I'll go over the curing wait before you walk or drive on it and how to look after your new slab.
